Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

My Story

Ever since a slew of injuries during high school I knew that Physiotherapy was something that I was passionate about. In 2009 I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and then in 2013 I went on to complete my Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia.

My approach is simple: manual therapy techniques to reduce pain and functional limitations, and individualized education and exercise programs for long lasting pain relief and self-management.

I have taken advanced training in dry needling, and manual and manipulative therapy. I have also taken continuing education courses in the management of jaw disorders, pelvic health and rehabilitation, and pelvic pain disorders.

My special interests are pre and post operative hip and knee osteoarthritis, acute and chronic management of lower back pain, as well as assessment and treatment of pelvic floor health and function. However, I treat all ranges of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and impairments.

I live in Invermere with my husband, and our two kids. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, paddleboarding, and cross country skiing. I love to explore all the amazing adventures this valley has to offer and I look forward to helping you continue to enjoy them all too.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

After the birth of my own children I was eager to increase my knowledge of the pelvic floor and how to treat clients struggling with issues related to it.

Pelvic health physiotherapy is often utilizied by pregnant women, but can involve treatment of a wide array of other conditions including both pre and post natal care, pelvic pain, hip and SI joint pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, and symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause to name a few.
